100 Years of Solitude

In the enshittified year of our lord 2024, I had low hopes for this Netflix adaptation of Marquez’s (famously “unfilmable”) 1967 magical realism masterpiece. But damn, they really came through on this one. Flawless casting, sumptuous set design, perfect pacing, tastefully understated practical effects. A wonderful tribute to one of the great novels of history.
