Setting intentions for your space

After a day spent deep cleaning the place from top to bottom, I sat on the floor of my empty new apartment in front of this little ad hoc altar, murmuring to myself — saying all the things I wanted this home to become, everything I wanted to happen here, how I wanted it to hold me and the ones I love.

I’m so glad I did this little ritual. I think it had a big impact.
